Cantonese Prawn
Ingredients
- Jumbo prawns ½ kg
- Oyster sauce 1 tbsp
- Soya sauce 1 tbsp
- Black mushrooms 2 – 3
- Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Corn flour 1 tbsp
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Garlic chopped 3 – 4 cloves
- Ginger chopped 1 medium piece
- Spring onion chopped 2
- Button mushrooms sliced 5 – 6
- Bamboo shoot 1 medium piece
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
Method
- Wash and clean ½ kg prawns, keep aside.Heat 3 tbsp oil in a wok, add 1 piece of chopped ginger and 3 – 4 cloves of chopped garlic. Fry till golden brown.Then add in prawns and fry till their color is changed.Then add soya sauce, Worchester sauce and vinegar.Also add chopped spring onion, bamboo shoot, sliced button mushrooms and black mushrooms. Mix for 1 – 2 minutes.Then add salt to taste, crushed black pepper and ¼ cup of water. Lastly thicken sauce with corn flour paste. Dish it out and serve hot.
